XML Signs Deal with ABACUS

XML has signed an agreement with ABACUS International, the Asia-Pacific's largest Global Distribution System for a 20 percent equity ownership by ABACUS. The deal is inked in Hong Kong in December 1999.
In the XML-ABACUS relationship, ABACUS provides global business perspective and strong distribution network while XML adds local technical input and development expertise. A key benefit of this partnership is the ability to customize ABACUS/Sabre products through their understanding of the unique language and business workflows and processes in ABACUS markets. This also means a quicker time to market for the products, resulting in a win-win relationship for both companies and their customers.

How it works? Travel consultants can opt for sending email notification to managers to request documents approval while issuing documents in PowerSuite. Managers can click the encrypted link in email to access the online platform to approve / reject those documents. On other hand, travel consultants can issue documents in PowerSuite upon managers’ approval.
The online documents approval module also acts as a ‘To-do-list’ that centralizes all requested documents. Managers can make use of the flexible searching criteria to define documents’ priorities. The online documents approval module is a perfect tool for those managers who always engaged in meetings or in business trips.
